Su Yon Park, 41, passed away on Thursday, September 20, 2012 in San Francisco, CA.
Su grew up in Las Vegas, NV. She graduated from Las Vegas High School and went on to Redlands University and then got her Psy.D from California School of Professional Psychology. She was a licensed psychologist and clinical coordinator at Children's Hospital and Research Center Oakland. Su was recently nominated and awarded the 2012 California Peace Prize for the outstanding work she has done in preventing violence and promoting peace.
Su not only had a passion for helping others, but she also helped animals by volunteering/rescuing dogs and cats. She enjoyed reading, shopping, planning activities, travelling, helping others, and showering others with love, laughs, and undivided attention. She had a tremendous gift of sharing her beautiful smile and infectious laugh.
Su is survived by her parents, Yong and Sook Park, four sisters (Mindy Leigh, Hee Tsutsui, Ju Lawrence, and Cindy No), and her loving nieces, nephews, and numerous other relatives.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to Su's legacy that she has left behind.
