SMITH, Gary David, 54, of Henrico, passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Naomi Smith. Gary was an avid basketball fan, and played regularly. He loved spending time with his family and was a great "papa".
Gary is survived by his loving wife, Tammy Smith; children, John Smith (Crystal), Daniel Smith (Chrissy) and Donnie Smith; step-children, Katie and Dalton Jett; grandchildren, Kaelynn Harris, Addy Smith, Jordan Gonthier, Rylie Smith and Greyson Johnson; brothers, Danny Smith (Susan), Larry Smith (Lisa), Bob Smith (Loretta), Michael "Pee Wee" Smith and James Smith (Rose).
The family will receive friends at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Avenue, Richmond, VA 23231 on Sunday, July 8, 2012 from 2 – 4 PM and 6 – 8 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 9 at 11 AM in the Nelsen Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow at Washington Memorial Park.
