Benjamin Franklin Battle of Gaithersburg, MD went to be with his Lord on Saturday morning December 23, 2017 at Shady Grove Adventist Hospital in Rockville, MD. He was born in Kinston, North Carolina to his late loving parents Esther (Pipkins) Battle and Walter Battle Sr.

Benjamin was a United States Army Veteran and a former Montgomery County, Maryland firefighter.

Benjamin's greatest joy was his sons Travis Battle and Frankie Battle. He was a devoted proud father and recipient of his sons unwavering love.

He was predeceased by his brothers Robert Pipkins, Booker Pipkins and Walter Battle Jr.

He leaves to cherish his memories his ex-wife S.L. Battle, his lifelong friend John Cotton and his loyal friends Claude Smith and Drema Smith among his relatives and many friends.
