SCHENECTADY – Ralph Matarazzo, 58, passed away on Thursday, July 16th at Ellis Hospital, with his devoted wife and family at his side.
Ralph was born October 14, 1956 in Schenectady, a son of the late Roland and Doris Touhey Matarazzo. He attended Linton High School and HVCC. He was employed as a master taper for several years. Ralph was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers International Assoc, Local'83, serving as shop steward and worked for many years at Venditti Brothers.
Ralph was a man of strong convictions, living each day and every moment with independence, care and love of his family and friends. He enjoyed socializing with his bar friends and loved his basset hounds.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Paula Frasier Matarazzo; loving daughter, Rachel Matarazzo; devoted sibling. Andy & Marilyn Matarazzo, Terri Matarazzo and Paula & Geoffrey Pemberton, all of Glenville; aunts, Patty Jacobson and Florence & Gary Tymchyn; favorite sisters-in-law, Dora Murphy, Janet Frasier and Irene Frasier. Several cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, 501 Union St., (at N. Jay) on Monday from 4 to 8 pm.
Memorial contributions may by made in Ralph's memory to Animal Protective Foundation, 53 Maple Ave., Scotia, NY 12302.
