The Mike Wallace Down Syndrome voice technique.
We tried this when our son Benny was getting upset. Well it worked, mike Wallace's voice was like a soothing sound to Benny. He relaxed and just watched the screen. Then he ate a frosty chocolate cake and passed out on the sofa. He slept for 17 hours and we were delighted. Who ever thought of this was amazing. The voice will sooth them each time they year it. We at mikes voice any time we want to be alone and not listen to Benny ramble. He is out in 15 minutes and he sleeps as long as he hears the voice. We are thinking about seeing if we can have Benny sleep for 2 days. Well thank you whoever you are.

Mike Wallace was the best Interviewer and he always said it like it was. Most times you hear what they want you to here but not with Mike. He got down to the truth! May he R.I.P.

Mike is probably interviewing our Lord and Savior right now. I always looked forward to 60 minutes just to hear him speak. He was a remarkable man.

We met only briefly when Mike came to New Orleans to cover the Garrison JFK probe. I had broken the story to CBS radio as a reporter on WWL Radio. He was very kind in his comments to me as a fellow broadcaster.

I didn't know Mike personally but grew up watching him on 60 minutes like many others. Somehow he communicated warmth, honesty and genuine American character. He won my admiration by his fearless questioning and trailblazing journalism. If we only had more of his kind today. May he rest in peace....dr.moran

The stories you told in the best of times and during our darkest times as a nation, you always brought your A+ game. Your stories shocked, rocked, comforted and, may have brought tears as we cried and laughed with you. RIP Newsman.

my wife suffered from serious depression. she was bipolar. following mike's tv show on depression in I believe the late 90s my wife wrote him a letter thanking him for being so upfront about his condition. shortly afterwards mike called my wife on the phone in order to encourage her and they talked for almost 30 minutes. he also encouraged her to call him again. my wife of 50 yrs died several yrs ago and until she died she often recalled her phone discussions with mike. please let me know where I can send a tribute for mike.

Dear Friends and Family of Mr. Mike Wallace,
I wish to offer my sympathies to Mr. Wallace, who contributed so much to the world of journalism.
When I was in my twenties, a new graduate of Columbia University, (College '81), I happened to see Mr. Wallace on the NYC subway, and I said "Hello". The second time, I met Mr. Wallace, he offered me a job as a beginning journalist with 60 Minutes . . . I had since become interested in pursuing a career in another field, but I was honored to meet Mr. Wallace and some of the stars of his staff. Thank you, Mr. Wallace, and please forgive me for pursuing another career.
