I am so shocked and saddened that this wonderful actor has passed away.
I dont pretend to have known him personally, but his many portrayals of such quirky characters throughout his career were so inspiring and infused with his own inner voice that you felt, watching him, that he became that person, became someone that you knew.
When he showed up onscreen, you couldnt look away; he pretty much stole every scene he was in.
My heart goes out to his family and friends in this time of grief and sorrow for their great loss.
Thank you, Michael, for the memories.
R I P, wonderful actor and human being. You will be sorely missed.

I know that my memories of Michael will make me smile as I'm sure it will for all that enjoyed him. Deepest sympathy to his family.

First time I saw him was Star Trek, but his most memorable role was Scrooged, as the homeless person, dying in the cold with a smile on his face, the watch, and Tea Time with Richard Burton, Bill Murray's performance was great, so great that is not the only one who has been hit with a toaster. Rest in Peace!!! In 1987 I wrote Gene Roddenberry with a story for a screenplay, it was sent back, unread, unsolicited, well I was not the only who read my story. I used the name Peter Anthony Lieggi, young screen writer. If it is unread, then I am King of France!!!!!
