I was saddened to hear about Denise Nickersons death soon after she had a stroke. I thought the first time I saw her was on the television soap Dark Shadows but no I had first seen her on an episode of The Brady Bunch I believe the episode was called The Two Peters. Ive never seen the movie Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory. As a young child actress she played three different characters on Dark Shadows. She was quite a talented. I enjoyed watching her on the show. I dont think she ever missed a beat remembering her lines!

Sending my deepest sympathy and prayers to her family. May she Rest In Peace.

My name is Mr. Randolph Garcia, I'm 59 years old & a resident of San Francisco, CA. I will keep my remarks brief. It's w/a heavy heart that I wish to express my condolences to the family of the late former Dark Shadows actress Denise Nickerson. Sadly another Dark Shadows alumnus has passed on. As time passes, there will be others as per normal circle of life occurrences. My childhood has passed on w/Ms. Nickerson & other Dark Shadows cast members who have now passed away. The show was & always will be a TV cult classic. Luckily the late Ms. Nickerson's performances are preserved on DVD & films, from her Dark Shadows days & afterwards. I never knew this dear lady nor met her. But her passing has affected me in a sad way anyway. From the bottom of my heart, to her family, my deepest condolences on her passing, I know she was a hard working lady & a good nurse in adulthood. To the Nickerson family, again, my deepest condolences. Her acting legacy is preserved forever. -Best wishes-Mr. Randolph Garcia in SF, CA.

I was privileged to have met Denise at a Dark Shadows convention in August 2001 at the late World Trade Center in Manhattan. During the convention people would go off and have drinks as I did at the bar in the Center and I was smoking a cigarette. Denise approached me and I knew who she was but I didn't let on. She asked to bum a cigarette and I lit it up for her. We were talking about the Convention and she mentioned the Violet character in the movie Willy Wonka. I had never seen it (even up until this day but I didn't tell her that) but I told her, "and you played Violet". She was so happy that I had acknowledged her participation in that film. She was so much like I remembered her in Dark Shadows but more mature. We chatted and had a great time. So sorry for her passing but I'm sure we'll meet again...but I don't think we'll be smoking in the Great Beyond. :) Rest in Peace Denise.
