Dear Ross and Family.. What a treasure all of you have been to Dallas, to Texas, to America, and to the world.
I first met Ross at EDS as an SED.. (Systems Engineer Development Program). Ross was at the EDS workout facilities at Forest Lane and doing Tai Chi. I had no idea what he was doing but stood behind him to mirror his movements. He saw me and then did a Jiu-Jitsu leg sweep on me and I fell to the ground. I am 6'1" and Ross was 5'5" and that may be an exaggeration!... and he took me down and laughed his signature Ross laugh.
After that we met regularly up at the Forest Lane location and it was many months until I was close to being his equal. He sponsored me in many tournaments and even came to the Southwest Regional finals.
His laughter, his grit, his fortitude his passion are always aspects I will cherish about Ross.. and even when he put me to the mat although I was a much larger person.
Ross was a larger person in life and didn't brag about his many conquests and I owe him a great debt of gratitude.
My Best.. to you Ross and all of your family...!

Ross Perot was a true American patriot. He used his wealth and influence to shift power back in the direction of the American people. Mr.Perot courageously stood up to the deep state and made them shake in their boots. I still tell my friends "I never disagreed with anything Ross Perot or Jesus said or attempted to do." God Bless you Ross Perot.

What a GOOD MAN! I have always admired his character, integrity, love for our country, and care for the everyday man and woman. He inspired me on every level. Thank you, Mr. Perot! You stood up for us. You fought for us! And we trusted you to get it all done. You outshone your competitors on every level and would have made a fine president. We owe you a debt of gratitude. Rest in peace, sir.

I wish I could have said "thank you" face-to-face with Ross. We talked briefly on the phone many years ago on my 20th Anniversary with the EDS Corp, but I would have liked to have shook his hand for all he did for me. Ross and I had something in common: we were both the same height, which is to say short. But, to me, he was a giant. I started life late in life and could not afford to go to college, until I was 30. When I graduated from college, I was 35, and it seemed that no company wanted to hire me...except for one company, EDS, that saw potential in this older student. I have been retired now for years. I shudder to think what my life would be like now, were it not for Ross Perot and the company he founded that gave me a chance to prove that I, too, could be an EDS Eagle. Until EDS, I was a total failure in life. That's just the stark, honest truth. But, I joined EDS, and I worked very hard and was rewarded well, just as I was told that I would be. I eventually rose to the rank of EDS Senior Systems Engineer as well as EDS Senior Systems Administrator. I doubt if any member of the Perot family will read this, but if you are "out there" and read this, I want to thank you, too. No man is an island, and those of us who were long-time EDSers knew that he had a strong family behind him. Ross...I owe you so much, it is truly hard for me to fully express it in words. But, I'll see you I heaven, my dear friend. Until then, please know how much your life did good in my life and in the lives of countless others. May God Bless You and all of your Loved Ones forever.

Ross Perot rode a Tennessee Walker stallion and my mare Beta was one of the stallions colts. Beta sadly died at 33 years old but rode her 1/2 across my State for 21 of those years. 500 miles 2 years before she died. What a horse! Glad that Mr. Perot took that stallion as his personal riding lucky we both were! Nancy Nolf. Washington State

Ross Perot will be sorely missed by many Women throughout North America. In 1997 in the DFW Metro--Plex Ross gave me my first opportunity to develop a parcel of land. Ross also gave me an added challenge and encouraged me to sell the parcel of interest. I learned so much in a short period of time. As for my career I remain in the Real Estate and The Land Development business and I tell this great story every chance that I have. My heart goes out to the Perot Family in hopes that the passing of Ross can be a celebration for the brilliant work he achieved while here with us. I will remember Ross in all things that I do in my future and I am thankful to have crossed his path early in my career.

Ross, I cannot imagine how heaven is handling your energy up there trying to make it a better place. You must be in your element. You are my hero and you have always been. Your vision was always to problem solve, seek solutions and think out of the box. You were a straight shooter and clear in your communication. You were a great teacher and I am grateful for everything you did or tried to do. I miss your spirit already. You are now in a better position to help us politically. Go for it! Remember what you said? Lead or leave. Show them the door Ross.

A MIGHTY OAK HAS FALLEN! Dear Perot Family, Ross was the greatest Dallasite in history. The sterling ledger of his life's work and his peerless record of philanthropy surpasses anyone who has ever lived in this city. At the request of my mother (who phoned him directly), he gave my brother, George, his first part-time college job in the early 70s -- which resulted in George's 31-year career at EDS. From then on, we were Ross Perot fans! He was a man of courage, dignity, compassion and humility. And he never stopped fighting the good fight! May our Heavenly Father ease your grief and leave only the cherished memories of his loving ways. And may the angels lead him into paradise. Your friends, Larry & Mary Ackels and The Ackels Family.

The world is a better place because of Mr. Perot's being. We were touched by a generous, caring, loving soul who I have no doubt will be organizing a ban of angels to keep a watchful, embracing presence over his dearly beloved. We were truly blessed.

To the family: You will probably never know me but I have met your Father through my cousin Josandia (Moore) Bean who worked for him at his Bermuda home. She always had a good word about Mr. Perot. More recently as she fought her battle with cancer he showed himself to be a great support and employer; helping her in so many ways. One special way I remember was when her time was not looking good he gave her some money to do something that will make her happy. She was able to visit me and my husband and we along with my cousin Wally had a wonderful time of fellowship, and sharing. We spent special moment's just chatting and reminiscing and laughing way into the morning hours. We knew that this could well be our last times together and we made the most of it and it was. But it was not all about the money that my Joey spoke of this fine man but over and over she spoke of him as a really wonderful man to work for way long before she was ever sick. She spoke of so much that she learned from him and how she admired him and helped to make her the person of integrity and compassion by observing him. She took great pleasure in preparing special meals that she knew he or some of the family would enjoy because he helped others to enjoy life also. May he rest in peace and may we learn from him even still as he has left a wonderful legacy. This world is better place because of him. I have been holding you and all those close and dear to him in prayer since learning of his passing and payer you all are able to experience the comfort of our Heavenly Father as only He can give. Mrs. Ross Perot and Family,
Mary Lou and I would like to express our sympathy for your loss.
Uppermost in our memory is the fact that Ross represented to both of us, the true spirit of patriotism. We valued the memories of the occasion when Ross spoke to the wives of fighter pilots who were either missing in action or POWs in the Vietnam War.
Academy graduates from West Point and Annapolis were invited with their wives to this ceremony at the Wright Patterson Air Force base. Rosss speech was inspirational and comforting to everyone there.
After the speech, I went forward to greet Ross, along with my wife. As soon as he had finished talking to the person ahead of me, he turned and recognized me and said, is this Mary Lou. We were impressed that he had either taken the time to find out who would be in attendance or knew Mary Lou from some dance or event in Annapolis, Either way, it was very impressive.
Over the years, since we graduated, we have followed the amazing career and accomplishments of Ross and we are proud to have known such an outstanding gentleman.
May your remembrance of the great and kind things he has done for humanity and veterans, in particular, ease your sense of loss.
Sincere sympathy.

I worked in his campaign in Missouri. We carried the county. He was such an honorable man. How could you not like the man he was. I was so sad to hear about his death. He embodied those American values that we revere: bravery, faithfulness, generosity, compassion, hard work, patriotism, tenacity, to name a few. Because of him the United States is a better place today. Thank you for the fine example you set for us all, Ross, and may light perpetual shine upon you.

Ross Perot is a true patriot and a true humanitarian. In the chaotic culture in which we live, Ross Perot stood out for his devotion to his family, his many good works, his insistence people do their best, and the sheer class with which he conducted himself; a unique quality in these times. Ross Perot believed in the goodness of people and inspired countless others who were the recipients of his generosity and kindness.

My Vietnam squadron mates of Helicopter Attack (Light) Squadron THREE - HA(L)-3 Seawolves received the most wonderful Welcome Home imaginable. Through the kindness of Ross Perot and his son Ross Jr. our Seawolf reunion was invited to the South Fork Ranch on September 6, 2014. Police escort, chartered buses, exceptional food, drink and entertainment was provided to our squadron in recognition of our service and our forty-four brothers who did not return. If for no other reason than recognition for our fallen brothers we were most tearfully humbled. Every Seawolf alive today will mourn the passing of our Navy brother and of his tremendous patriotism.

Our prayer is for God's merciful blessing upon the soul of Ross Perot.

I met Mr. Perot when we moved to Dallas in 1968. My father was an executive with LTV, and Ross, the Wyly's, Jimmy Ling became acquaintances of mine when I was in law school. They were all inspirational, but Mr. Perot's business acumen, philanthropy, family values, and perseverance all rolled into one - created an incredible role model. I with his family the best, and he will be missed by his friends, acquaintances, and business associates who were fortunate enough to cross paths with Mr. Perot. Dallas, Texas, and the United States are all better places because of his efforts. RIP.

To a great man and a great family my humblest sympathies. It was at the new EDS location in Plano where I first personally met Ross Perot. My car had broken down on my way out from work and he stopped to see if he could help.

EDS had a facility to fix cars at that time, so he called them and had them tow my car there. They said it would be a couple of hours, so he said come with me Craig'. He drove us to Malibu Grand Prix in Plano, where he knew the owner. He had me and him get into go-carts and we raced! I couldn't believe it.. He won! But it was the twinkle in his eye and the fact he took a personal interest in me who he didn't know that touched me. He invited me to Texas Motor Speedway several times after that to watch races (and be involved with some amateur races!) and he was somehow always doing something for somebody.

Rest in Peace Ross.. you had a big heart and ran every race with your fullest and at top speed!

Posted by Craig Schaffer - Chester Springs, PA   July 15, 2019

Deepest condolences to the Perot family, and all you knew or were somehow touched by Ross Perot.

One anecdotal story I have is from the EDS headquarters back in the day. I was at the workout facility and trying to learn to swim. Ross Perot came to the side of the pool and asked me what I was doing, I told him and he dove in the pool and began to give me swimming lessons!! Ended up we started doing laps together every other Thursday (when he was in town)!! So whenever I hear of a story where Ross did something small for someone, I believe it! For that small thing for me was huge and I know all the small things you did for people Ross were huge for them as well RIP Ross!

Dear were such a kind man, a fierce competitor, and had some a fire of love in your heart for your country, your family, your friends, and nobody was a stranger to you. Back in the 80's I was a systems engineer and then a salesman, but the times we played golf at Forest Lane were probably some of the funnest times I can remember. You came up to the 1st tee and I was playing by myself you asked to join, but wanted to do rock-paper-scissors to see who teed off first! You saw what a kick I got out of that and every time after that we played together we did that again. I tell this story because it illustrates what a down to earth person you were, what a great sense of humor you had, and what a love you had for people. Glad we had those several dozen or so games on EDS 9-hole golf course..but always wished you had given me a mulligan!! RIP You were and still are a treasure to many!

Ross you were my mentor for many years. I will forever cherish our occasional lunches at El Torito and later at Torchy's Tacos. Your entrepreneurial spirit maybe only surpassed by your love of God and family and country. You left an indelible mark on tens of thousands of people, but greater than that you took action for the good of others when other people who could've taken action didn't. You didn't search for recognition, but recognition found you due to the many kind, generous, entrepreneurial, and many more actions you took. I remember the last thing you told me which seems not so long ago.. 'Larry, keep one foot in front of the other foot at all times with a mission at hand..and in doing so your momentum for the good..for the growth..for the expected and unexpected will allow you to accomplish great things'. RIP my friend.

Twenty five years ago, a caring and compassionate Ross Perot reached out to help a desperate mother whose son was missing in Hawaii. He ask what was needed an when advised he said he would be sending one of his staff to assist us. We had been advised that the search teams needed helicopters to aid with the search area in the dense jungle areas adjacent to sheer,deep drop offs. He was true to his word and provided a member of his staff who was a steadying and needed force in the search for our son. That person stayed with us and helped with the search. He lined up the heliçopters and was there representing Mr. Perot for weeks. Unfortunately while we were unable to find my son. Mr. Perot had allowed a grieving mother to know that everything possible had been done to locate him. Although I was never able to thank Mr. Perot in person, I did write thanking him for all he did. It was greatly appreciated. He touched this mother's heart with his show of kindness. Mr .Perot and his family have been in my prayers for the last twenty five years and will continue to be. Heaven has truly gained an angel with a loving and caring heart. With deepest sympathy.

With heartfelt Sympathy, I can say that Mr.Ross Perot was an Icon for many of us. In 1992, as a Small Business Owner, together with others colleagues, very involved in a political arena, we were shocked to see that a Business Legend, Mr.Ross Perot, took a step out of his business and dedicated his time running a very successful campaign with volunteers, leading the pole with high margins. We wanted to follow his lead. We did, by starting to run Election locally, even though we were fully running our small businesses. Apparently God knew that Mr.Ross Perot can do more with his Business helping people from all walk of life. So, God directed him to stay with his Business.
In 2012, when my Daughter moved to Dallas from NYC and her husband start working for him, I felt they have a new Family. They make them to always feel this way. The fact that he, personally came in 2013 and visit in a hospital my Grandson, 17 month old Lucas, who fell and suffered brain injuries, it was to be commended. He made sure we had all we need for many month we were in a hospital. His presence in our lives, It was priceless.
I wished and prayed that together with our Lucas, now , 7 yrs old, heartbroken, Special need child, we would have gone with Mr.Ross Perot to visit a great Neurologist friend he has in Europe for a second opinion. Lucas still suffer and need a lot of expensive Theraphy to get him back and we are praying for Miraculous healing for him, as we prayed for Mr.Ross for the past 6 month..
We failed to pursue so far his valuable help to go. He helped another friends's child who was treated on the path of a great recovery. I have no words of appreciations and thanks for the God's man, Mr.Ross Perot, who walk the walk and went out of his way to help many!
We will never forget your kind words, care, compassion, unconditional love and interest you and your Company took on Lucas and our Family in a hospital and thereafter. May God continue to bless your Family and give Peace to you and them, the Peace which passes all understanding : God's Peace! We will continue to pray for the Eternal life of his Soul and ask God to held Mrs.Margaret Perot and all his wonderful Families in His hands Forever! ❤

It warms my heart to read these stories here. People from all over the United States sharing their stories. I love that we can watch clips of him on YT, he had a great sense of humor and was very clever. A Humanitarian, Patriot, Great American, Christian, and family man. Oh, How we loved him as the grass loves the rain, Oh how we embrace him as the branches hold the wind, life is a path defined by many truths. Mr. Perot was one of those truths to many people. He lived as he spoke, straight from his heart and soul. He gave a lot to the world and offered many folks opportunities to make their dreams come true. His leadership and straight arrow approach made my world come true. His love of God, Family and Country will always be his hall mark in the pages of history and in the souls of mankind. God bless his family and his soul. He will always be the high water mark of goodness and leadership.

Ross represented the best of America....patriotic, hard-working, caring, diligent, honest and dedicated to leading a group of men and women to be winners in life and business. Working as a key Sales Representative for IBM and Amdahl with EDS was one of the highlights of my business career and I owe much of my success to this experience. Don Pearce

What a great example of Texas entrepreneur, leader, larger than life figure yet, one who got things done with resolve, conviction and determination.
He built great companies, filled employee ranks with team players, eagles and a can do! Spirit!
He gave back to humanity in ways people will know! That was his style.
Many great stories of Mr Perot will be told. But he was a great husband, father, family man and role model!
Thank you for the years as a great example to many- myself included!

Ross Perot will be greatly missed by all who ever had the great honor to know him. He had an enormous effect on my life, and continues to, till this day. The many life lessons one attains from the the story of this incredible man's life are truly inspirational. A true patriot who tried so hard to help his country save itself from failure. Americans would do well to educate themselves by looking into what he had to say about our country and how wonderful a friend he was to those he loved. He loved his family, friends, co-workers, members of our military and the United States of America. May God bless them all, and may H. Ross Perot rest in peace. My family and I proudly salute you and are eternally greatful for the sacrifices you have made for us all. My heartfelt condolences to the family (including all at EDS) and friends. He will be remembered as a great and noble man.

As time passes by memories tend to fade and people forget the dead more and more. I wrote Ross a letter regarding my concerns that our freedom might soon go away if certain things weren't done to prevent it. Today, I know this to be true. In 2007 I spent a day with this great man at his Plano office and we talked about the POW'S that we both had worked hard to bring home to America. As a private citizen Ross dedicated himself to bring these men home and I as an intelligence agent worked in secrecy to do the same. The truth is Ross did bring 186 POW'S home and he helped my agents do the same.

Mr. Perot will live in my memories forever, a man who loves America with all his heart and soul. A wonderful husband and father, a Patriot, an honorable, kind, and generous to a fault, I loved this man like a father. God was his Lord and Savior and he is with GOD.

Favored Son

Fortune found its favored son,
Lessons taught to all and one;
The most honest man Ive ever met,
A role model that I cant forget;

A man of service thru and thru;
Do as I say and as I do;
A family man who knew no peer,
A lifetime of memories we hold so dear;

Small in stature some might say,
A long shadow cast that wont fade away;
East Texas timber that cannot be broke,
For every cause he bore the yoke;

He lived his life the Texas way,
Do as I do and as I say;
Fortune found its favored son,
Lessons learned by all and one.

He always took good care of his employees, and helped the military men and women start their careers after serving their country. I remember mentoring a young marine. He was studying by night and was getting hands on experience.

Ross was approachable and always had a simple smile. He was usually seen in the cafeteria during the lunch hour. He will be remembered by so many employees, veterans, leaders, and friends for his tenacity to help others. He was a humble business man with high moral ethics.

I Will never forget what he did for our Country's Veterans. Mr. Perot was a wonderful human being and humanitarian. I fully remember when he enlisted Colonel "Bull" Simons to lead the raid into Iran to reduce the American POWs. My heart weeps as America has lost a truly inspiration to all. Prayers to his large, encompassing family.

I had the pleasure to work at EDS and was picked to work at Perot Systems during the early days. Wanted to take this opportunity to thank Mr. Perot and the many talented individuals that helped me during my 23 glorious years with the firms ... they took a chance on a green young man, nurtured and developed me to the person that I am today ... I owe my career to Ross ... thanks for your belief in your people, you are one in a million ... may you rest in peace !!!

If ever there was a Great American Award, Ross Perot would certainly deserve it. He was a long-time client and friend, and one of the most benevolent people I've ever known; especially with veterans and our military and those in need. He changed Dallas much for the better; he redefined the computer and digital data practices in the world, and he leaves a legacy for service, charity, education, love of family and friends, and a wit that was absolutely unique. God Bless Ross, his wonderful family, his friends, those who worked with him, and those who were the beneficiaries of his unique and loving charity.

I ran several states for Ross when he ran for President in 1992. He won 23% of the vote in those Midwestern states...a great accomplishment. Ross predicted the NAFTA devastation that our country is trying to recover from now. Ross was a great man of integrity and vision. All of the Americans, who understood and shared Perot's vision, are sad today and wish him the best in his new travels.

Dear Perot family,

I live and work on Long Island, New York, and very proud to have worked on the local volunteer team for Mr. Perots presidential bid in 1992. He was a larger than life figure and by all means admired by those who got to know who he was as a person, businessman, statesman and visionary. Our country would have been far better off now if Mr. Perot had become the president. We miss him dearly. My condolences to the Perot family and May he Rest In Peace

Much respect and honor to you, Mr. Perot. You are the greatest example that many other leaders should learn from. I am honored that I was able to start my career at Perot Systems straight out of Texas A&M. Mr Perot was amazingly down-to-earth, genuine, kind and intelligent man. He came to our new employee orientation on day #1. He ate lunch in the cafeteria with everyone else - same table every time and was always friendly. He gave us a tour of his office last year and told us stories for over an hour like we were related to him. I will always be thankful that I knew and worked for such an honorable man. Mr. Perot, it's been an honor to be a volunteer under your guidance starting all the way back in the 70's for the POW/MIAs.

It has been an honor to be a UWSA local chairman and get you on the ballot in '92. I hope you know and can feel our thanks for all you have done as one of the most unassuming statesmen, this country have ever had the honor to call fellow American.

Mostly, I want to thank you for the issue of the UWSA Newsletter with the eagle's legs unchained.

I want to thank you for elevating Admiral Stockdale as you did.

Ross, It's all those things you did that no one knows about. The college payments for the fallen over in the sandbox. When you rescued the 29 Hmong families from Hong Kong just before the Chinese took over and where going to send them to re-education camps.

America, you have no idea what you just lost.

Semper Fi Ross

May the Lord hold you and comfort you

May He watch over your family and bless them as you would

But mostly,

Thank you, my friend

I worked for EDS in Dallas, TX back in the mid 80's straight out of college on Forest Lane. It was the ultimate place to work in Data Processing Technology. I started in the OPD program and moved my way up. They weeded out the non performers in their training programs. I thrived in the environment and then left soon after GM management took over. I voted for this man for president and he should have won. He was truly a patriot and had many eagles throughout his executive office as well as many US memorabilia. I'll be forever grateful for the experience of working for this man and what he stood for. What a loss for the country but his family is his legacy. RIP Ross
