I am very sorry for the passing of Maxine Brown Russell. Having enjoyed the fine music of The Browns since my college days in the 1950's I had just about worn out my old disc. In attempting to see if there was more of their music available, the site led me directly to Maxine herself. As a singer in champion Barbershop harmony quartets, I have long appreciated their perfect pitch and expression. We started an email exchange and she sent me her book, autographed to me as well as 2 signed discs with additional songs. Please accept my deepest sympathies for your family. I feel as if I have also lost an old friend.
