I would have loved to know and speak with you on a regular basis in this lifetime. I'm sorry the world lost such an angel in you. I hope one day you are recognized as a saint because you deserve to be remembered in this way. I know you could have helped my mom greatly just by speaking to her. Wish she could have met you too. Well, God Bless you Sister Wendy Beckett. I hope you are watching over those who deserve your love and protection.

I was so sad to find that Sister Wendy passed away. She was a delight, and brought Art to life for us ordinary folk. Her memory will live on as long as there are curious minds to watch her teachings.

Dear Sister Wendy,
Thank you for being a fantastic art educator! I took such delight with your televised series; your choice of art and such wonderful information you provided. Not only were you informative, you were entertaining and brilliant. You were a beautiful example of someone following their passion and sharing it. I would have loved to have met you in person and visited you over a cup of coffee or tea. I believe you are in a beautiful place with exquisite love, happiness and warmth.

Honestly such a legend rip my queen

Posted by A friend   January 11, 2019

I can only say that i have only listened and watched some of Sister Wendy's videos and i must say how taken i am. The shear honesty in her voice fills one with fresh insight into the persons work that she is portraying .Her love for the living God is invigorating to my soul hoping that i myself one day will reach such. I say to all mankind that her long life on this earth has made a difference and we have benefited from her insight and great study .Our life here on earth is surely short and for someone who said she only wanted to pray to God in solitude, she got around more then most .I hope to meet this lady where harps are played and those who have salvation meet in total Love of our messiah Lord Jesus. Rest in peace dear sister Wendy until the last day.

Love watching your videos, wish I could have meet you in person. You have the courage of a lion and I admire you as I do Henry VIII. His dedication of the church of England is parallel to your commitment and pride to the Catholic Church. You will be missed in my European History class, but your legacy will stay strong in the documentaries. I intend to venture into the sister hood, and I will take your name in confirmation. XOXO

Oh no! Sister Wendy was one of the most delightful nuns ever. She really made art come alive. And she wasn't afraid to discuss nudes, either, and with such rich descriptions. She was a wonderful storyteller and art historian. I loved her programs and her obvious enthusiasm for the arts. It was contagious, and it felt like an adventure rather than a history lesson. Rest in peace, Sister Wendy! You deserve it.

Peace Sisier Wendy, and to your family, and friends.

Some years ago, Sister Wendy's art videos and books kept me company when I broke my foot and was unable to leave the house. I watched them every day.

I wrote her a letter to tell her about how her videos and books helped me heal. To my surprise, she wrote me back! The letter is very special to me.

Rest In Peace Sister Wendy.

Every good gift and every perfect present is from above, coming down from the Father of the celestial lights, who does not vary or change like the shifting shadows.- James 1:17

I admire her appreciation for Art. As an art critic, she transported herself to beauty; sharing with others the emotional power that art transmit to the eyes of humans. And, as a religious person, she took into account The Maker who shaped these precious gifts at mans creation. My sincere condolences for the loss of your beloved friend.

She was a slice of humanity that resonated with me. She made me feel like I should love life. Her insights made me feel like we can do better. She had no ego. She saw life as it was. The nun as the pragmatist. The human as the intellect. A good person.

Posted by A friend   December 27, 2018

She wrote me two letters of spiritual advice, which changed my life. She said that I was following the vocation God had given me. She said God saw that, like the rich young man, I needed to be held and bound, in total self-gift. I never met her, but I mourn with tears her going-forth from this life into the next, even as I rejoice for her entry into eternal life with God, whom she loved so much. Pray for me, Sister, pray for us all.
