Had the pleasure of working at NPR Legal office from 1978 to 1982; Carl was first a gentleman whose good manners put you at ease and second, he had a slightly crooked grin that made you smile back. Condolences to his family.

What a national treasure, we loss. My sympathy to the family. I have been an NPR fan since 1979, and enjoyed all of Mr. Kasell's contributions. He was missed already, but not forgotten.
