Condolences to all of Alan's family and friends! It is with great pleasure to call him a friend from soo many years ago-a great wit, laugh and an inquiring mind on different perspectives! Used to rep him for his radio show after meeting him and his kindred spirits-early on while trying to break into the biz! Prayers are with you!

Alan, you and Hannity were the BEST! There hasn't been a show since that even comes close to the magic you two had. You always that little twinkle in your eye and Hannity always had that slow burn look, but at the end of each program it was quite obvious there was a lot of mutual respect there. My condolences to your family and friends.

We are praying for comfort and peace for the Colmes family.

Alan was one of a kind! We so need more persons like him in our political world today. He taught us how to dialogue. He never veered from his position but stood his ground in such a gracious way - always with his great smile and great sense of humor. He was truly a role model for dialogue in a democracy.

May his legacy live on with others setting a goal to dialogue with the same type of grace and integrity that he possessed. He will never be forgotten!

Alan, I listened to you back in the 80's on radio, and then watched every show you were on Fox with Sean Hannity. I did not agree with you, and sometimes i tell the truth, you made me upset; but I always loved your smile, your sincerity, and I wish I had met you; I missed meeting a great guy. I lost my husband, and I also know he worried more about me carrying on than he did of his illness, just like you did for Jocelyn. I feel her pain, I really do.
Rest in Peace, and say hello to my Hugo for me if you meet him in Heaven. Love to your family, Elisa M. from Warwick, NY.

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Alan's death, even though I had recently begun to worry about his absence from his radio program and feared he might be very ill. A voice of honesty and just plain human decency has gone from us and we are bound to feel the pain of it for a long time to come. Someone of Alan's character does not come along every day, especially as a public voice for justice in the political realm.
My heartfelt condolences to his wife, other family members, friends, and those of us who were simply devoted fans. Godspeed, dear Alan.

Being a conservative, there were many things Alan said that I didn't agree with. However, I had absolute respect for the manner in which he addressed issues and the respect he bestowed upon guests. In that regard, I believed he was the better half of Hannity and Colmes.

It is sad to see him die at such an early age and, more so, to leave the media world at a time when there is such a tremendous need for accurate, ethical and truthful reporting.

RIP Alan.

Although Alan and I were on opposite ends of the political spectrum, I was a loyal listener and follower of his radio and TV programs. He was rational, honest in his beliefs, and fair. At this time in our Country's history we should all take a page from his book.......let's listen to each other. That's what Alan would say. Godspeed Alan, you will be missed!

I listened to Alan Colmes' radio show daily as I was out on my delivery route. I am hardcore Democrat and enjoyed his commentary immensely. Oftentimes, someone else was filling in for him. I always looked forward to his return. It was only a week ago that I heard him on his radio show. I was looking forward to his return. Juan was filling in for him. So I was shocked and heartbroken this morning when I heard on the radio that he passed away. My deepest sympathy goes out to his beautiful wife and all who loved him--I loved him.

RIP

To Alan's beloved family and friends,
Please know that my son and I send you our deepest sympathy. Alan was someone who touched many lives in a positive way. And even when we didn't agree with him, we always respected him and appreciated his viewpoints. May his memory be eternal. "His soul shall dwell with the blessed."
