Condolence & Memory Journal

Brenda you gave me a beautiful blonde Barbie and you got a red hair Barbie. Today Rush Limbaugh passed away and I was watching Fox news and it made me think of you. I’m not gonna go into too many details but I was dating a friend in your lives son and on Christmas Day 2014 you walked over to me and when you opened up this Barbie package you were filled with such joy even though it was a collectible you opened it up and gave me the blonde Barbie. You said here the blonde one is for you.Every time I saw you in the capacity of not a news anchor and I did know you as one even though I never mentioned that, because you were with your friends and personal time and this was the kind of gestures you did for people.

I have never seen anyone get so excited To get a Christmas present and then give half of it away to a girl because you wanted to make me feel special and it did.

You were not a celebrity to me but a close friend of the person I was dating family and you were so much fun and this kind gesture and seeing Fox News give Rush Limbaugh a tribute reminded me of you. Brenda Buttner You are missed and loved and touched so many lives. I got to get to know you some in the capacity of personal life and not the beautiful bulls and bears host.

I knew you had daughters and this was such a sweet gesture that if they see it That she treated other girls her daughters age in a wonderful and kind manner. So I know she was a wonderful mother. I heard about you girls and your mom was so much fun. if you want to hear any of the memories I have of her.

Rachel and Rebecca and family,

Hearing of the passing of your mother is painful and saddening. I trust and pray that you all are well. I pray for your strength and power to grieve, but to love and cherish the memories of your mother and my friend. Your mother was a smart, intelligent, beautiful and incredible friend and co-worker. We started work together at Gannett News Service in Roslyn, Virginia in 1987. We were the youngest two journalists in the bureau and we often traveled together for work. Brenda won a special place in my heart when she shared her simple, humble upbringing--something I could relate to being from rural Alabama. If one never knew of her Academic Credentials-she never boasted or bragged. Brenda was just down to earth. Your mother's generosity and kindness and concern for my wife during her pregnancy in 1988 will never be forgotten. Your mother had more of an influence on my life than she realized. Brenda was like an older sister and a parent at times, though she was only a few months older than me. She was a awesome storyteller and journalist...most importantly a FRIEND..
I am thankful to GOD for the experience of having known such a wonderful person.
I am thankful to have shared text messages of recent with her after a long separation. My family and I have been richly blessed and rewarded by her friendship.

May the love of GOD rest and abide in your hearts as you grieve the loss of your loved one. May he comfort and keep you and console you. You are truly blessed to have my friend "Brendy" as your mom, and loved one. Contact me to view some of our work from the past.

I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. But another scroll was opened; it is the scroll of life. The dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead in it, and death and the Grave gave up the dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds.-Rev 20:12,13...Love ones just Like Brenda Buttner will live again on a new restored paradise earth, in the very near future...I send my condolences to her dauthers, extended family members and friends.-
