Not only were you my coach but you were also my friend. Being a guitar major and you being a guitar player gave us something in common that I will always remember. Coach I have thought of you often in the years since Plymouth and believe me I will continue to cherish the times we had together. It was great the times we got together at some of the tournaments we saw together when you came back to Plymouth. I will miss you and know you must be in a better place. No more pain, Rest in Peace my Coach and Friend.

My condolences to the Aguiar family. The words of our Lord Jesus Christ are comforting when he said: "The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life." (John 5:28,29) May that promise sustain your family and friends during this difficult time.

Jim was my wrestling coach at Moorhead State. I can still remember him writing an article about his Moorhead State Dragons and calling me out as a potential front-runner in our conference once I finally grew hair on my chest! :-) Jim was a great spokesperson for the sport of wrestling and a true champion when it came to taking young people, mentoring them the best he could and in the end turning out good people for the betterment of all. He will be sadly missed by me and everyone that had the good fortune of knowing him. My Sincere condolences to the Aguiar family.

Dear Martha, Gretchen, Jessie and family,
Word has made it to us about Jim's passing and the pain you all went through getting to this point. He is at peace now. We have been and will continue praying for you. It has been years since we have connected- certainly had many wonderful times together when we were all in Plymouth.

We send this prayer for your family... Prayer for Persons in Bereavement

O merciful Father, who has taught us in your holy Word that you do not willingly afflict or grieve the children of men:

Look with pity upon the sorrows of your servants the Aguiar family, for whom our prayers are offered.
Remember them, O Lord, in mercy,
nourish their souls with patience,
comfort them with a sense of your goodness,
lift up your countenance upon them,
and give them peace;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.

My best memories of Jimmy were at Old Orchard Beach with him and his brother Danny riding the waves all day long. How we didn't freeze to death I'll never know. I always enjoyed our spirited political discussions at family gatherings and how good natured Jim remained even though we may have disagreed. Cousin Jimmy was a lovable, huggable guy, and I will miss him. My condolences to Martha and family. Sincerely, cousin Joe Aguiar

Jim and I served together on the Grafton County Executive Committee for many terms, as well as in Concord, where we were on different committees. In the county he was a terrific asset, firm and probing the details of the county services we oversaw but always polite, patient and with his sense of humor poking through. He and Martha have been through a lot the last few years, and I and other friends are in awe of their courage and grace.

My friendship with Martha and Jim goes back over forty years, and I am so fortunate to have such wonderful memories of those years. I was allowed to share in the fight with this terrible cancer and will never forget the grace and strength that Jim showed throughout this battle. Martha's love and devotion in caring for him was truly nothing but a labor of love. His daughters' support for him during all this illness attests to the wonderful father that he was. It is a tragedy that he will not be a part of his five grandchildren's growing up. Watching their athletic events would have been a joy for Jim. I will miss my friend.

As the youngest in our familyJim always seemed able to charm our mom and others when angry or upset and usually ended up "wrapping them around his little finger" so to speak. His enduring charm and humanity and concern for others always garnered him positive reactions and support from people he met during his all too brief lifetime. A good person in every respect and dear brother to always be missed and remembered.

Will always remember Jim's devotion to Uncle Herby. He was so helpful to me during this most difficult time As they say what goes around comes around, and the support he got from family and friends certainly proved that.

Jim was certainly an exceptional man, as are all his family. I remember you planning your trip to the Grand Canyon, and I thought, "Who would do that?" Well, the Aguiars would. He has left a great legacy, and made the world a richer place. A man to be missed.
