"Not only were you my coach but you were also my friend. Being a guitar major and you being a guitar player gave us something in common that I will always remember. Coach I have thought of you often in the years since Plymouth and believe me I will continue to cherish the times we had together. It was great the times we got together at some of the tournaments we saw together when you came back to Plymouth. I will miss you and know you must be in a better place. No more pain, Rest in Peace my Coach and Friend."

"My condolences to the Aguiar family. The words of our Lord Jesus Christ are comforting when he said: "The hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life." (John 5:28,29) May that promise sustain your family and friends during this difficult time."

"Jessie and Family, We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time. Reading all the tributes below it is clear your Dad helped many people throughout his life. His spirit will live on through you and all those who he helped make better people."

"Jim was my wrestling coach at Moorhead State. I can still remember him writing an article about his Moorhead State Dragons and calling me out as a potential front-runner in our conference once I finally grew hair on my chest! :-) Jim was a great spokesperson for the sport of wrestling and a true champion when it came to taking young people, mentoring them the best he could and in the end turning out good people for the betterment of all. He will be sadly missed by me and everyone that had the good fortune of knowing him. My Sincere condolences to the Aguiar family."

"Dear Martha, Gretchen, Jessie and family,
Word has made it to us about Jim's passing and the pain you all went through getting to this point. He is at peace now. We have been and will continue praying for you. It has been years since we have connected- certainly had many wonderful times together when we were all in Plymouth.
We send this prayer for your family... Prayer for Persons in Bereavement
O merciful Father, who has taught us in your holy Word that you do not willingly afflict or grieve the children of men:
Look with pity upon the sorrows of your servants the Aguiar family, for whom our prayers are offered.
Remember them, O Lord, in mercy,
nourish their souls with patience,
comfort them with a sense of your goodness,
lift up your countenance upon them,
and give them peace;
through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.
