"Dear Suzanne and Family, I just learned of Davids passing and I send my most sincere condolences to you. David was larger than life and spent his life "paying it forward" with a passion for reporting the truth and empowering people who usually did not have an advocate. He was totally authentic and was so dedicated to the truth. His "Fight Back!" stories, columns, books and more all helped millions of people live better and happier lives. As a person, he was so very kind, so humble and just pure good. When he came to Northwestern Univ. to speak at The Day With Northwestern Program circa April 2004, he was fantastic. He met the test of a well-lived life. He left this world a better place than he found it and did so with class, smarts, kindness and a passion for what is right. I will keep David and all of you in my prayers. My God comfort you at this very sad time. Heaven is a Better Place. Ed Corboy, Jr."

"Suzanne and Family, I just learned of Davids passing and I send my heartfelt condolences to you. David did much to help individuals and companies, and I really appreciate all the work he did. I remember watching his reports and observing how remarkable they were and truly beneficial and on point and practical.
May prayers strengthen you and cherished memories comfort you, and may God comfort your hearts and make you strong and comfort you always. (Psalm 119:76) "
